Vegangster, a B2B iGaming platform provider, has integrated Phygitals pack opening as a new vertical. Operators can now offer players randomised Pokémon and sports packs where every pull is a real graded card, kept in a vault until the player decides to trade it or have it shipped. No other iGaming platform provider currently offers the format.
Phygitals is a US-based marketplace for trading card pack opening. Notably, it powers Underdog Rips, a recently launched digital card pack product from one of the leading fantasy sports operators in the US, with around 950,000 monthly active users.
The vertical gives operators a retention hook that doesn’t run on promotions. A player with a card in the vault has a reason to return, whether to check its value, redeem it, or build toward a set. Each of those visits occurs without bonus spend attached.
Pack opening joins a growing set of formats on the platform outside casino and sportsbook, including lootboxes, a prediction market, and a CCTV game.
Michael Oziransky
Chief Product Officer at VegangsterThe Phygitalis vertical is available to all Vegangster operators. They can enable it trough their account manager, with no additional integration work on their side, and run it through the same wallet, reporting and player management tools they use for the rest of the lobby. Grading, storage and redemption are handled by Phygitalis.
Vegangster will be demonstrating pack opening at SBC Summit Lisbon, 29 September to 1 October, stand B506, alongside the rest of its content lineup. Operators attending the event can see the full player flow, from purchase to redemption, and discuss the rollout with the tram on-site.
